| Rock, Roll and Monster Munch |

Saturday 15th May - After a quiet friday night spent watching Dr.Parnassus (and being quite surprised that I really liked it after the reviews I read) I began my Saturday early. At 1pm in the Playhouse.
I had only managed to get dressed before I was already late to meet friends so no shopping, no breakfast and no time. We had a few pints, discussed our festival plans (or lack of them) and headed to the Mick Jones (The Clash) 'Rock and Roll Public Library' exhibition where every item of rock memorabilia he had ever kept was on display. Videos, shirts, posters, gig tickets, flags, photos and some toys were all over the walls, shelves and the more precious ones in cases. It felt right that we had sunk a couple before coming in :). Then a short wander to the next Clash exhibition via one of the worst football pubs in the city, the Prince of Wales. It was almost a bet, to see if we would really go in, and yes the football was on and the blokes were fat, in sports clothes with bad football tattoos but thankfully totally engrossed in the match so didn't notice us. The vending machine in the ladies was also 'Out of Vibrators'. Lovely. Onto The Hub restaurant (which I decided would be the next place I took my fella for dinner) for a small but personal display of Clash tour photos and a small but very friendly dog. Then we went to The Marquee (would be rude not to seeing as we were just down the road) for a few games of pool and a Ploughman's Lunch in a bag (two crackers, a Dairylea triangle and some pickled onions, crikey). Cab to the Fat Cat by which time I was flagging (5+ pints and a packet of Monster Munch = drunk Lenore) so we got a takeaway flaggon and headed for home where, after a Burrito, dough balls and some garlic bread we watched some Dr.Who and passed out infront of Quatermass. My kind of Rock and Roll.
